A rotator with its pole, a separate control box, a wireless foot pedal and two remotes. Drive it from the box, from the pedal or from a remote; the auto-search angle and speed can be set from any of the three — no phone needed.

The pole is 1000 mm and is included. The zero bracket — the adapter between the rotator and your transducer — is made in four types: ActiveTarget 2XL, AT / AT-2, LVS 34, ML-2; you name the type when you order. The only things not included are the sonar unit and the transducer themselves.

A master power switch and the connectors for the rotator and the boat's supply. The left button switches the motor on and toggles electric and manual mode, the knob turns the rotator and enters auto-search, the right button switches on heading hold. The box orients itself in space at start-up, so hold works whichever way it is fitted — it can be mounted at any angle.

Wireless. The left button is auto-search, the right one azimuth hold; the pedals turn the rotator, and in setting mode they decrease and increase the search angle and speed. Power — four CR2450 cells, about 200 hours of continuous use; the pedal keeps working even on a single good cell.

The upper buttons A and B turn the rotator and change the angle and speed; button C starts auto-search, button D switches on heading hold. The remote straps to your rod with the strap supplied.
The motor is off and the rotator is turned by hand, by its handle. The position is not held by the motor and the automatics do not run. This is the mode with the power off, or with the left button off.
The motor holds the position continuously. Turning is done with the knob, the pedal or a remote. The manual rotation speed is adjusted in the same way as the search speed.
The transducer's heading is kept while the boat is swung by wind, current or the trolling motor. Switched on by the right button on the box, button D on a remote, or the right pedal button.
The current position becomes the centre and the rotator sweeps left and right by the angle you set — from 20 to 160° per side. Hold works here too: it holds that centre point. When the mode is switched off the centre is not retained.
A short press on a remote button or a pedal turns the rotator exactly one degree. A long press gives that same degree first and then goes over into continuous rotation for as long as the button is held. ROTATOR 77 has no smaller step: an adjustable step from 0.5° is a property of UNO, which has a control panel in the browser.

The system works out its heading from the hull's natural movement — rocking, turning, tilting. In a flat calm, when the boat is nearly motionless, heading hold becomes less stable, and the manufacturer advises against using it in those conditions. That is a property of every inertial system, and we say so before the purchase, not after.
